Okuni was a Japanese dancer. It is said that she is the founder of the Kabuki art form.
In Osaka you can not only visit the Kabuki theatre, Minamiza; also go along the river where it
is said the dancers met customers after the performance. At the beginning of the bridge
over the river there is a statue of Okuni.
