Nine
school groups from eight EU countries met in Kazanlak, Bulgaria
last week. From 2008 to 2010 we met in Slovenia, Poland, Cyprus,
UK, Germany and finally in Bulgaria to learn and sing songs together,
share our cultures and get to know each other. Circle
of Friends is part
of the culminating activities. Enjoy also snippets of the Intercultural
Dialogue through Music performance when they were in Sardinia.

Imani school's third year students went on a class trip to Tokyo,
where they viewed the City from the famous Tokyo
Tower. You can enjoy a panorama
of the view [click browser window to increase image size]. After
that students split into small groups and
chose where to go. Back together again and on to Tokyo
Disneyland! Many things come to an end for the 3rd year students,
including the final town tournament
July 2 & 3.
"Know before you go" program at Gimnazjum #4 has students
study a little about the country, culture, etc., before taking the
trips. This school year first year students have learned
about and visited some sights in Poland. Second and third year
students went to Berlin
and Copenhagen so they had practiced German
also.
Congratulations to Gimnazjum #4 choir -
winners of the main prize
at 8th Pomeranian Parade of School Choirs in the junior high schools group. Ending
the school year is the formal prom for year 3 students. They begin
with the traditional "Polonaise" before
going indoors for other dancing and fun. Goodbye
school, hello summer!
As summer draws to a close people
enjoy baseball in Kobe, Japan. |
