How did this all start?
As part of the Comenius Program, International Dialogue Through Music partnered 8 European Schools to learn about each others cultures and to show their own culture to the others. This was done with each group learning one other song from each of the other countries -- in that country's language. They also actually visited each of the other 7 countries to experience the culture first hand.

Why the dictionary?
Natasha from Bulgaria suggested it as yet another way for students to learn each other's culture. They all took the same 100 words/phrases that might possibly come up in conversation and recorded them.

What good is this to me?
You can see that we've added a few other languages. If speaking through Skype or any voice to voice meeting, it's a compliment to the other person to try their language. Even if you are just 'writing' to someone in another country, it is good to occasionally try to use their language, and not just expect them to use yours.

Can I add my language?
