Three Billy Goats Gruff

Grade 1, Steen's Creek Elementary, Florance, Mississippi

Once upon a time there were Three Billy Goats Gruff and a troll. All the Billy Goats Gruff and the troll were very hungry.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff wanted to eat sweet green grass. The troll wanted to eat the billy goats.

The three Billy Goats Gruff needed to cross the bridge. The troll lived under the bridge.

The first Billy Goats Gruff quietly approached the bridge. The troll was extremely quiet as he waited for the first Billy Goats Gruff to cross the bridge. The troll was angry that the Three Billy Goats Gruff were crossing over his bridge. The little Billy Goat Gruff crossed the bridge first. The troll jumped onto the bridge.

The troll had eyes as big as saucers and a nose as long as a poker. The troll had a pet frog. The hungry troll said "here I come to gobble you up!" The Billy Goats Gruff went trip trap across the bridge.

The medium Billy Goat Gruff crossed the bridge second. The big Billy Goats Gruff was dressed cool. When the Big Billy Goats Gruff crossed the bridge it creaked and cracked.

The Billy Goats Gruff put his head down and charged the troll. The Big Billy Goat Gruff kicked the troll and sent him reeling into the water. The troll was sent reeling over the bridge. The troll was sent reeling into the water.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff and the pet frog yelled "YA-HOO" when they were safely on the other side. The Three Billy Goats Gruff claimed victory when the troll was thrown into the water. The Three Billy Goats Gruff were able to eat all the sweet green grass they wanted. The Three Billy Goats Gruff caught some Zee's after their tummies were full of sweet green grass.
