Hi, I'm Mrytle and I live outdoors. I was born in July and I'm just about at the age where I find everything interesting, new, exciting, scary, and challenging.

Right next to my home is a huge box in which giant creatures live with some adult cats. You can see right through some parts of the box, but the air is hard. The creatures have to open the box so cats can go in and out.

One of the things I've learned to do is tame these creatures who live inside the big box. They sometimes let me inside the box and I climb them. They are very big, but also soft and kind of warm. If I snuggle just right on the tallest creature, I can even take a little sleep.
The creatures are kept by some adult cats, who have a very fancy water dish. When I first came into the big box, I got the creatures to fetch me a small bowl of water, but now I'm able to climb up to the large dish. It's a little scarry, but makes me feel very brave!

If I'm very careful, I can even drink water. The adult cats can do this easily just standing on the floor. I have to be careful not to go too far, or I end up swimming instead of drinking. I'm not fond of swimming.

When I want to go back home, the big creatures who serve the adult cats, open the wall to the box and let me out.

Myrtle enjoyed a good life as a kitten. She died in late October of 2003.
